ADREANLINE FOREST

Last week on Thursday we went to the adrenaline forest. When we got there we did the safety brief and learned how to connect our harness to each obstacle. There were six-levels one was the easy and six was the hardest.

After the safety briefing me and my friend Jacob went to level 3 and it was a fun and tricky level after that I did level 3/ 1

Earth quakes

This term in HUR1 we have been learning about the Chch Earthquakes and how and why it happened. We also look at the re-billed of everything. We answer some questions about the and here is mine.

Q1. How have the Christchurch earthquakes affected Christchurch and the City?? The Christchurch earthquake caused extensive damage to infrastructure and buildings. Multiple buildings collapsed, and the city was impacted by burst water mains, flooding, liquefaction, and power outages. The port was damaged, and many roads cracked.

Q2. What are some of the positives and negatives that came out of the earthquakes?? The earthquakes destroyed the city so they had to re-build so that made the city better. In the earthquakes, 185 people died and 115 people died in the CTV building.

Q3.What are some of the things that citizens have changed to prevent earthquakes from ruining buildings again and the future?? They have in forced the motorway so they don't fall down. They made new schools, houses, hospitals, factories.

Science Work

This is one of our science tasks.

What did Haritina find difficult about being at the research center? train for hat it would be like in space.

Why do you think it is important for astronauts to practice in an environment like this before heading into Space? I think it is important to practice in an environment like space before going to space because if anything go's wrong there would be a better chance that it would be ok.

Welcome back to my blog this week we learned about protests I learned about two protests. The first one I did was about the Vietnam war protest, did you know that there were more than 300 protests in 5 years and only a hand full were violent protests.

The second protest I learned about was the Women's suffrage did you know that women's suffragee' means? The term has nothing to do with suffering but instead derives from the Latin word “suffragism,” meaning the right or privilege to vote.

        monloge

hello welcome back to my book I'm going to show you the monologue that I am doing.

9.Pirate: Can I talk like a pirate?  Ay, matie!  Avast! Ahoy!  Aye-aye, I can!   Shiver me timbers! I can talk like a pirate better than any lily-livered, jelly-legged sea-goer that ever there once was!  I says whatever I’ve got to say in a pirate way and if any bilge-sucking buccaneer says I don’t, I’ll cleave him to the brisket!  I swear on Davy Jones’ Locker, to be a true blue pirate you’ve got to be able to load a cannon and fire it- but most important you’ve got to talk like a pirate!

        Fortnite

In-class we have been doing speeches my speech is about fortnite and how you should try and play fortnite because you might like it.

In July 2012 a game was made it is called fortnite, I chose this topic because I think fortnite is a really big company and people should give it more thought on how good it is.

The game fortnite originally only had one game mode it was called save the world has players work together to defend themselves against waves of zombies. Save the world was designed to force players to scavenge for weapons and gather materials to build a base against the flood of enemies.

After save the world they added battle royale. The concept of battle royale is similar to previous games of the genre: 100 players skydive onto an island and scavenge for gear to defend themselves from other players. Players can fight alone (Solo), with one additional player (Duos), or with a group of up to three others (Squads). As the match progresses, the playable area within the island gradually constricts, giving the players less and less room to work with. The last player or team alive wins the match.

Even you know it is free to play you can send money to make yourself look better. You can send money on vbucks the vbucks can be used to buy skins back blings, gliders, gun raps, dances, battle pass and save the world.

I think you should try fortnite because if you play it a lot you can get really good and you can earn money and make money from the game.

This is my speech about fortnite hope you liked it.

Some of the things that I do when I'm bored is watch a movie or a tv series on Netflix's, One other thing that I like to do when I'm bored is to go outside and run around the a few times.

        bobble writing

This week we have been doing some bobble writing is where you get a photo of something and you write about it.

Describe the scene. How does the picture make you feel? interested because of the photo.

        • Do you think the boy knows what lurks beneath the surface? No because he doesn’t look very interested in the water.
        • What do you think he can see/hear? No, because he is not looking at the water and he does not look very scared
        • What is the crocodile’s character like? I think he is an angry and hungry crocodile because it has its moth open
        • What will happen next? Continue the story. The boy will notice it and run away
        • If you could jump into the picture, what would you do? Would you help the boy? How? I would tell the boy that the crocodile is there
